|For a successful stay we believe you need a friendly and comfortable environment and it is for this reason that we do our best to ensure it. We carefully select and regularly visit each accommodation. With most of them we’ve been working since the beginning. Standard, rooms are booked from the Sunday before the first course day until Saturday morning after the last day of lessons. Extra nights are subject to availability.
In Bournemouth we offer the following accommodation types:
Student residence (summer)
You will get the best Bournemouth student experience staying at the University residence close to the beach and town centre and only 5-10 minutes walking distance from our school.
The building is arranged as 5 or 6 bedroom self-contained flats. Each flat provides (basic) self-catering equipment. You stay in a single room with en-suite shower facilities and you share the common areas, such as the kitchen, dining and lounge areas with about the other students. There is free internet and also a games room with pool tables and satellite TV. Rooms and communal areas are cleaned once a week. There is a coin operated launderette. Bed sheets and towels are available. There are no double rooms. The minimum age for the student residence is 18 years old. The residence is only available in summer (from Sunday 10 July to Saturday 27 August). Availability for the student residence is limited so we recommend booking well in advance.
Our English host families will offer you their hospitality, a cosy place and the opportunity for a true cultural exchange during your stay in Bournemouth. All families are usually located within a 20-25 minutes travel distance (maximum 30 minutes walking or public transport) from the school. Please mind that a host family is not always the typical family, but can also consist of a divorced woman (with or without children) who likes to cook for foreign students.
We believe this one of the best ways to get to know the culture of the country. Having your own room and keys, you will enjoy this home-style experience yet still have the comforts of independence. But it must be understood that each student must adhere to the rules and costumes of their family. Obviously you share the common areas such as the bathroom and living room with the family. The kitchen can be used only for making coffee, thee or a sandwich.
In Bournemouth the host family with half board includes breakfast and dinner every day of the week. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels. Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together.
