|For a successful stay we believe you need a friendly and comfortable environment and it is for this reason that we do our best to ensure it. We carefully select and regularly visit each accommodation. With most of them we’ve been working since the beginning. Standard, rooms are booked from the Sunday before the first course day until Saturday morning after the last day of lessons. Extra nights are subject to availability.
In Brighton we offer the following accommodation types:
Summer shared apartment
If you want to enjoy the maximum independence and like sharing a house with other students from over the world, we recommend the summer shared apartments. During the year these shared apartment are used by the University of Sussex and in summer it hosts mainly language school students.
All apartments are located about 20 minutes travel distance from the school. The accommodations are budget, basic, but you will have everything you need. You have your own private room in an apartment, and share the cooking facilities, fridge, bathroom and communal areas with other students.
The room’s electricity is paid via a coin meter in the room which will cost about 4 GBP per week. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels. Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together.
NOTE: The summer shared apartments are not available this summer.
Our English host families will offer you their hospitality, a cosy place and the opportunity for a true cultural exchange during your stay in Brighton. All families are located about 20 minutes (maximum 30 minutes) travel distance from the school. Please mind that a host family is not always the typical family, but can also consist of a divorced woman (with or without children) who likes to cook for foreign students.
We believe this one of the best ways to get to know the culture of the country. Having your own room and keys, you will enjoy this home-style experience yet still have the comforts of independence. But it must be understood that each student must adhere to the rules and costumes of their family. Obviously you share the common areas such as the bathroom and living room with the family. The kitchen can be used only for making coffee, thee or a sandwich.
In Brighton the host family with half board includes breakfast and dinner. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels. Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together.
Please mind that availability for the homestay self-catering is limited in the summer period. If the homestay self-catering is not available, we will do our best to offer you an alternative, such as the summer shared apartment.
