|For a successful stay we believe you need a friendly and comfortable environment and it is for this reason that we do our best to ensure it. We carefully select and regularly visit each accommodation. With most of them we've been working since the beginning. Standard, rooms are booked from the Sunday before the first course day until Saturday morning after the last day of lessons. In Totnes you can also choose to arrive on a Saturday without extra costs. If you prefer this, please leave a message on the enrolment form. Other extra nights are subject to availability.
In Totnes we offer the following accommodation types:
Located on a walking distance from the school we have some quality shared apartments. These apartments are perfect for students who want independence and convenience. You have your own private room in an apartment, shared with about 3-5 other language school students.
You share the common areas such as the kitchen, bathroom and living room. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels.Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together. The minimum age for the shared apartment is 20 years old.
Our English host families will offer you their hospitality, a cosy place and the opportunity for a true cultural exchange during your stay in Totnes. Totnes is a small town, so host families are usually within a 10 minutes walking distance from the school (maximum 20). Please mind that a host family is not always the typical family, but can also consist of a divorced woman (with or without children) who likes to cook for foreign students.
We believe this one of the best ways to get to know the culture of the country. Having your own room and keys, you will enjoy this home-style experience yet still have the comforts of independence. But it must be understood that each student must adhere to the rules and costumes of their family. Obviously you share the common areas such as the bathroom and living room with the family. The kitchen can be used only for making coffee, thee or a sandwich. If you prefer to have a private bathroom, you should choose the en-suite option. The en-suite option has limited availability, so if you want to be sure, feel free to contact us first.
In Totnes the host family with half board includes breakfast and dinner. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels. Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together.
The homestay is a self catering accommodation. You can compare it to the host family, but with no food included. You have your own room and keys and share the accommodation with the owner of the house. This way you will enjoy the homestay experience yet still have the comforts of independence. But it must be understood that each student must adhere to the rules and costumes of their host. You share the common areas and you can use the kitchen for cooking your own meal. Owners might be at home only a few hours per day, not necessarily when you are at home.
Like the host families, the homestays are usually within a 10 minutes walking distance from the school (maximum 20). The homestay self-catering accommodation in Totnes is only available for students of 20 years and older. Bed sheets are available, but you should bring your own towels. Reservations for double rooms can only be made for students travelling together.
